Do you supply flameproof centrifugal pumps for solvent areas?
Yes. For solvent transfer and reactor charging in pharma and chemical plants, the pump is supplied with a flameproof motor, an SS 316 casing and impeller and a seal with Viton elastomers suited to the solvent. Share the solvent name and the area classification when you enquire.
Which mechanical seal should I choose for my centrifugal pump?
For clean water, a carbon against ceramic seal with EPDM elastomers is usually enough. Hot liquids, abrasive liquids such as juice with fines, and chemical duty call for silicon carbide faces, with Viton elastomers for solvents and oils. PTFE gland packing is an option where the buyer prefers packing over a seal.
